Founded in 2006 by Late Dr. Shrinivas Gondhalekar and S. Dorai Rajan, direct disciples of renowned Japanese Sensei, KIAP is a pioneering global management consulting firm that guides organizations on their journey toward operational and business excellence. Drawing on decades of experience and a deep understanding of shared Indian and Japanese wisdom, we leverage proven tools and approaches to deliver measurable improvements in operational and business performance.

Journey So Far

2006 –  KIAP is incorporated and begins operations.

2009 – We pioneer the application of Lean practices in bulk drug manufacturing.

2012 – Two of our client organizations receive national awards for excellence in implementation.

2017 – KIAP is recognized as one of India’s Top 25 fastest-growing management consulting firms.

2021 – We launch our first Lean Industry 4.0 collaboration using IoT applications.

2022 – Our Director, Ganesh Mahadevan, publishes Lean Management for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises with Springer.

2023 – We enter into a partnership with technology leader AXISCADES to scale Lean 4.0 initiatives.

2024 – Partnership with PredictIQ Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an enterprise AI company that builds intelligent operating systems for better operational control and decision-making.

Late Dr. Shrinivas Gondhalekar

Founder

Late Dr. Shrinivas Gondhalekar was popularly known as "Dr. G." He earned this nickname through his ability to solve chronic organizational problems using his innovative Differential Diagnosis technique. A chemical engineer from IIT Mumbai and a postgraduate from NITIE, he later completed his PhD in Kaizen. His association with the legendary Sensei Masaaki Imai and his passion for Japanese philosophy formed the backbone of his global work. He is considered a pioneer in introducing world-class concepts to the Indian manufacturing industry, leaving a lasting impact on organizations worldwide.

S. Dorai Rajan

Founder

S. Dorai Rajan began his career in the accounts department of a large MNC. He realized early on that "no amount of cost management will actually reduce the cost." Mentored by Dr. G, he shifted his focus to marrying modern Japanese philosophies with ancient Indian wisdom. This unique blend has transformed mindsets across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and even tea estates. His approach uses focused improvement workshops to drive rapid and lasting results. By challenging conventional practices, he consistently delivers significant operational gains.
