Truck and Bus Body Building – Improve production in short time

A tier 1 supplier of one of India’s auto majors has its facilities located adjacent to the OEM’s plants. The company builds truck cabins and fabricates large structural parts for the Medium and Heavy vehicles made by the auto major. The OEM experienced a sudden rise in demand in the short term due to winning tenders for a new Government project. The supplier had to now find a way to quickly ramp up its production to cater to this demand without investing in new resources. With this in mind, they called in KIAP experts to help implement Lean concepts in their unit.
