Building Construction speed improved through Lean Six Sigma
One of south India’s reputed construction companies has taken up the prestigious project of constructing the then-tallest building of India. However, the project was behind schedule at the start itself due to mobilization delays. The management was looking for a way to speed up its project execution and took the innovative step of consulting KIAP to help the project team apply lean concepts to speed up construction. The infrastructure sector was still relatively unorganized in its approach to operations and use of concepts such as Lean and Six Sigma were almost unheard of at that time.
