Problem solving workshops are KIAP’s unique offering for addressing specific pain points in organizations. These workshops cover the range of problems relating to Quality, Delivery, capacity, and resource utilization. Of these, the quality problems are best solved by using the cause-effect relationships based on prior knowledge and experience. And in cases when the problems that fall out the range of this pre-acquired knowledge, KIAP consultants adopt an alternate problem solving approach of Differential Diagnosis.
Established by Dr G, this approach studies the problem, searching for absence of correlations in the phenomena, and uses the elimination technique repeatedly to narrow down the range of causes such that, eventually, the root cause becomes obvious. This simple yet difficult to use approach is one of the strengths of KIAP consultants, who have used it now for over two decades to diagnose hundreds of quality problems, where others had given up.
